Mahdi Ladhaari

Mahdi Laadhari is a researcher in sociology and anthropology focusing on Gulf societies and contemporary cultural transformations, with particular emphasis on the relationship between space, identity, and social relations. He holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, awarded with excellence. His research adopts ethnographic approaches to examine everyday social practices and the production of meaning within social spaces, with particular interest in institutions such as the family and the majlis in the Gulf. Alongside his academic work, he has nearly seven years of experience in civil society, where he has contributed to the design and implementation of research and development projects in collaboration with local and international organizations. During his master's, he also worked as a research assistant and administrative coordinator at the Doha Institute, supporting data collection, analysis, and event management.
