Fertility, Faith & Family

In this community hub we aim to bring together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and the public to produce and share knowledge about female fertility, fertility preservation and shape reproductive futures. Our approach is community engaged grounded in Arab and Muslim social and ethical realities and ways of knowing.

Fertility in Numbers

Focusing on fertility preservation and reproductive futures is relevant now more than ever.

2.9

is the average number of children born per Qatari woman in 2017, down from 5.3 in 1986

13

million babies at least have been born worldwide via IVF and other Assisted reproductive Technologies (ART) since 1978.

28

is the global average age at first birth. Women are having babies later, limiting the fertility window and number of children
